Church Groups
MOTHERS' UNION
The purpose of the Mothers' Union is to be especially concerned with all that strengthens and preserves marriage and Christian family life.
The MU holds regular meetings on the first Thursday of the month. For the full list apply to Jill Norman. Tel: 01733 237872
In addition, the MU meets in the church on the third Wednesday of every month at 10.30 am for a corporate communion.
CLOISTER LUNCHES
For several years now, a group of people have met in the Cloister on the last Wednesday of each month to share lunch together, to chat and to spend spiritual time together with prayers and meditation. There’s been a lot of laughter, valued fellowship and friendship - and some excellent food!
The two course lunch starts at 12.30pm and is funded by donations of approximately £5.00 per person. The food is prepared by church groups on a rota basis - usually something simple, but very delicious! We’re always looking for more volunteers to do the catering; obviously the more we have the less often we have to do it! If you feel able to help in this way, please contact one of the churchwardens.
Watch out for the lists in the Cloister and get your name down - we’d love to see you!
HOME GROUPS
There are a number of Home Groups at St Botolph’s which are greatly valued by those who belong to them. Those who have never attended one perhaps wonder what they are all about!
Well, they give the opportunity to enjoy fellowship and get to know other members of the church better, to learn together about faith issues through Bible study or teaching DVDs. They also enable members to share the joys and challenges of the Christian life and support one another in prayer.
If you might be interested in joining a group, or perhaps attending a session to ‘taste and see’, do get in touch with the Vicar.
